Amat's collections are born out of the inspiration of some of the best contemporary designers, developed to satisfy the needs of present day society by providing large amounts of aesthetic and functionality, on the basis of over 60 years solid experience of creating furniture for collective areas. The result is an extensive range of items able to fit out all types of indoor and outdoor spaces, both public and private, with casual elegance.
B&B Italia
B&B Italia has been a leading company in the field of contemporary furnishings since its founding in 1966. B&B Italia headquarter is located in Novedrate in Como province. Offices are situated in the building projected by Renzo Piano in 1972.The company’s ability to reflect contemporary culture, to sense and anticipate trends, to respond to changes in taste and living needs, has resulted in a collection of world-famous furnishings and a wide range of modern furniture, which account for a crucial chapter in the history of Italian design.
B&B Italia’s success is based on a matchless alchemy of creativeness, innovation and industrial skills, aimed at producing “timeless” products “lasting through time".
A review of B&B Italia’s history clearly highlights technological research as the chief element of the Company’s development policy. Designfaktorii
Designfaktorii promotes to make use and promote the large creative pool of designers in South Africa. Designfaktorii commissions young designers to design products ranging from home-style, to corporate, hotel, project and restaurant furniture. The designers are commissioned on certain product lines in return for world-market-related royalties for work that meets all these requirements and is deemed to be commercially viable. In addition to customising bathrooms and kitchens for private clients, Designfaktorii is geared for corporate, retail and yacht interiors.
Magis
Magis is the brand that has given a novel twist to domestic design, building its identity on incorporating leading edge technology into mass production.
Founded in 1976 by newcomer to furniture, Eugenio Perazza, Magis is today a giant international design laboratory that constantly puts itself to the test.
Magis seizes the day. It embraces the creativity of leading global designers and channels it towards objects perched on the cutting edge. The company even earned kudos from the trendsetters bible, Wallpaper, which placed Perazza on top of its list of "Ten who will change the way we live."
The company catalogue is heterogeneous, often divided into technology families entrusted with a clearcut strategy to different partners. Magis' pace setting reinterpretations of mundane household plastic articles is a case in point: "Step" (1984) is a folding stepladder designed by Andries and Hiroko van Onck. "Bombo" (1997) is Stefano Giovannoni's playful bar stool - a product that reaped massive revenues for the company.

Vitra
VITRA is a name which is name to South African designers and one which evokes images of simple aesthetics and advanced ergonomics. Active internationally, VITRA works together with major designers and has, for over 40 years, been manufacturing the modern contemporary furniture created by the famous US designers, Charles and Ray Eames. VITRA’s commitment to promoting an awareness of design is evident in its support of the VITRA Design Museum, a foundation independent of the VITRA company, which has been attracting international attention since 1989. The Design Museum places great emphasis on its exhibitions and workshops which are presented at other museums around the world.
