Born in Berlin in 1968, Jerszy Seymour grew up in the multicultural concrete landscape of London as an integral part of the 80's street scene creating club flyers and as a dj playing hip ho, electro, dub and ska in the underground club scene. In 1991 he was given a scholarship to the Royal College of Art where he developed his interest in design and sculpture. After leaving the college he traveled and lived around the world, skating, snowboarding and collaborating with other artists, during which time he fermented and formulated the ideas that would characterise his idiosyncratic creative approach.

In 1999 he opened his workshop in Milan, where he started his own experimental productions including "House in a Box" in 2002, "Scum" in 2003 and "Tape" in 2003. 

In parallel he has designed for companies such as Magis, IDEE, Sputnik, Covo, Swatch, Perrier, L'Oreal, and Smeg.

His work has been exhibited in the Design Museum in London, the Vitra Design Museum in Basel and Berlin, the Pompidou Center and the Palais De Tokyo in Paris. HIs work is held in the permanent collection of the "Fondation National de Art Contemporarine" France. He has given lectures at the Domus Academy in Milan, the Royal College of Art in London, and the Vitra Design Workshops in France. 

In 2000 he was awarded the Dedalus Award for European Design and in 2003 the Toro Okamato Memorial Award for Contemporary Art.

Jerszy currently works and lives between Berlin and Milan.
